THIS SUNDAY - When Stress becomes distress

 Wellbeing Event: Danielle Lambert, daughter of Jeanne and George and a member of the team from the Gregory P Shadek Behavioral Care Center at Englewood Health will be talking on the theme of  When Stress Becomes Distress: Taking Care of Our Emotional Well-Being on Sunday March 26th after worship in the church house at 12noon. This is open to anyone, and there will be a sandwich lunch provided. 

During the presentation, you will learn about and discuss:

    How to identify emotional and physical signs of stress.

    Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and substance misuse

    Strategies for improving your emotional well-being

    Resources available in the local community

PRESBY READERS

Sunday, April 2nd, Palm Sunday, the Presby Readers will convene at the home of Carolyn and Al Rocco at 4:00 p.m. We will be discussing Against All Odds: A True Story of Ultimate Courage and Survival in World War II by Alex Kershaw.

Sunday April 2nd Palm Sunday Worship at 10.30am – Hero to Zero: The Journey of Holy Week. 


Thursday April 6th Maundy Thursday at 6pm, Middle Eastern Supper with communion in Jim Henry Hall, followed by the service of Tenebrae by candlelight in the stone chapel at 7.30pm


Friday April 7th Good Friday at 1pm Ecumenical Walk of Witness beginning at Church of the Atonement, calling at PCAT at 1.30pm. 


Sunday April 9th Easter Day at 5.30am Dawn Service in the Memorial Garden to welcome the Resurrection of Jesus with the lighting of the new fire, and 10.30am Intergenerational Easter Celebration with choir, organ, band, and brass in the Sanctuary followed by an Easter egg hunt.


Pancake breakfast returns!

Come early before worship on Sunday April 16th.  More details to follow.

Cro-Knitters

Join us each Tuesday from 2pm - 4pm in the church lounge.  Everyone (including men) are welcome to join us for crocheting, knitting, conversation and all around fun time.
